Caring for an elderly loved one can be extremely difficult. The Avenue has a way to help. Introducing "Respite Care," a short-term care alternative. While no one can truly replace the love and care of a family member, our"Respite Care" program can offer you the break you need. Take that long-overdue vacation while knowing that your loved-one will be cared for by our trained staff 24 hours a day. Or, if you already have a personal care giver, it's an opportunity for you to give them the break they need to avoid the burn-out that so frequently accompanies dedicated personal care.

 

The Avenue's "Respite Care" program is also perfect for that short-term recovery sometimes necessary after surgery or a stay in the hospital. This alternative allows the resident to continue the healing or recuperation process while the family is afforded the time to properly prepare for their return home.

 

"Respite Care" features furnished units in various floor plans, and includes three meals per day, utilities, housekeeping, laundry services, activity programming, and scheduled transportation services. Individualized service plans are developed for each resident to reflect their specific needs.
